100 Life Challenges by Sarah Steckler is a book that challenges you everyday to step out of "your zone", expand your life experiences, and become a better you.
I have accepted the challenge to do at least one item out of 100 Life Challenges daily. Each Month I will post the next challenge, my analysis of the last challenge, and tips for being successful.
The last month I focused on being grateful. Simplicity is something to keep in mind when being thankful. You may think that saying you're thankful for running water is silly, or "everyone has running water", but it is not true. There are others who go without each and everything you have. Being thankful for the little things is one step towards being happier.
Each morning that I noted down my three items, my spirit was slightly lifted. I began to realize that there are many things in life that I take for granted (my daughter praying without initiation, my running vehicle, having AC, etc.). Once I started to realize how many material things I take for granted, the more I valued those items and evaluated whether I truly needed them or not.
With the assistance of the 5 Minute Journal app, I am able to easily continue to note my gratitude and reflect on each day.
Next month I will focus on capturing images of things that make me happy. Be sure to follow my progress on my Instagram! @abbgraphics
